Hasselblad 50mm f/4 C and CF (1964–1989)
A pair of Zeiss-made wide-angle lenses for the Hasselblad V system, spanning two generations with integrated shutters and flash sync at all speeds.
Overview
The Hasselblad 50mm f/4 C and its successor, the CF, are wide-angle lenses designed for the Hasselblad V system, both made by Zeiss under the Distagon name. The C version was produced from 1964 to 1982 in chrome and black T✻ variants, while the CF version followed from 1982 to 1989 with a bayonet filter mount and updated shutter. These lenses offer a diagonal angle of view of 75°, roughly equivalent to a 28mm lens on a 35mm camera. Both models feature a leaf shutter enabling flash synchronization at all speeds, including 1/500s, a hallmark of the Hasselblad system.
