Overview
The Sony SS-L200 is a floor-type speaker system produced in the late 1980s to early 1990s. It features a 2-way, 2-speaker configuration with a bass reflex design. The system uses a 20 cm cone-type low-frequency driver and a 6 cm cone-type high-frequency driver. It has a reproducible frequency range of 35Hz–20000Hz and a rated maximum input of 75W. The speaker is finished in rosewood and has detachable grilles.

Design
The cabinet is constructed from 3/4" particle board and features a rosewood finish. The woofer uses a treated paper cone, and the crossover employs a first-order (6dB/oct) design with a 10μF electrolytic capacitor and a 0.5mH inductor.
Market
The SS-L200 originally sold for ¥16,000 per unit around 1983. The foam surrounds on the woofers are prone to deterioration and often require replacement; re-foaming kits are available online. Original replacement parts are no longer provided by Sony.
