Design
The amplifier section uses a high-power IC developed especially for audio, supported by two power supplies via a direct coupling method to achieve low distortion at high output. A newly developed junction FET is used in the tuner section's front end, paired with a 2-element 1-package solid-state filter in the IF section. The FM multiplex circuit includes a coil unit for improved stereo separation and reduced distortion, while the AM tuner uses a triple chain IFT with a solid-state filter. The receiver features NF-type tone control, a balanced volume control, and a speaker selector switch for two sets of speakers. The preamp and main amp can be used separately, enabling use in a multi-amplifier system. It also includes pure electronic stereo, automatic monaural switching, a stereo display lamp, and a function-linked dial display.
