Overview
The Bozak B-302A is a floor-standing, sealed-type speaker system produced from 1957 to 1971. Developed as an evolution of the B-300, it adds a dedicated midrange driver to create a three-way configuration. Positioned as the highest-level medium-sized system in Bozak’s lineup, the B-302A was designed to dominate a room both physically and sonically, not to recede into the background. It uses a combination of specialized drivers and a precision crossover network to deliver full-range audio performance.

Design
The B-302A uses a sealed (acoustic suspension) enclosure with a walnut oil finish, grill cloth, and Greco-Roman-inspired iron decorations. It features a 30 cm woofer (B-199A) with a felted paper cone containing wool for lightness, rigidity, and high compliance, using a variable density system to prevent flapping. The midrange is handled by a 16 cm B-209B driver with a light aluminum diaphragm sandwiched between neoprene rubber films and stepped shaping. Two 5 cm B-200Y tweeters manage high frequencies, each with a metal diaphragm damped by a special method and mounted on foam rubber; frequencies above 10 kHz are reproduced by a 2 cm aluminum center dome. The N-10102 crossover network routes signals at 800 Hz and 2500 Hz with 6 dB/octave slopes. The terminal section includes a multi-amplifier selector switch and terminals.

The B-302A was developed from the B-300 by adding a dedicated midrange driver, enhancing its tonal accuracy and presence. It was positioned as the top-tier medium-sized speaker in Bozak’s range and shared the product family with the B-305, B-310A, and B-400.
