Design

The Cambo Wide uses a modular two-part construction consisting of the camera back and the lens/lens panel. Lenses may be shifted either laterally or vertically, depending on the rotation of the lens panel as it is attached to the camera. It was designed for use with Schneider lenses and built to handle all wide angle requirements with precision and speed.

Context

Introduced at Photokina 1968, the Cambo Wide was part of a series of technical cameras from the Dutch manufacturer. A later version, the Cambo Wide DS, was produced from 2005 onward and supported 4x5 and rollfilm backs up to 612, marking it as the last Cambo Wide model in that line.
