Agfa Mini (1982–After 1984)
A simple, fixed-focus 110 film camera made in India, activated by squeezing the body to advance film and cock the shutter.
Overview
The Agfa Mini is a basic 110 film viewfinder camera introduced in 1982 as part of Agfa's revived product range. Manufactured in India, it belongs to the most basic tier of Agfa’s 110 cameras, offering no adjustable settings. The camera operates with a two-speed shutter—1/40 and 1/80 second—automatically selected based on flash connection. It uses the Agfa Color-Optar f/11 32 mm lens with fixed focus from 1.2 meters and lacks an exposure meter. Known as a simple 'click-clack-click' camera, it requires no manual winding; instead, shutter cocking and film transport are achieved by squeezing the camera body together, a system Agfa called Repitomatic.

Design
The Agfa Mini has no user-adjustable settings. Shutter speed selection is automatic: 1/80 sec when no flash is attached, 1/40 sec when a flash is connected. The film advance and shutter cocking are fully integrated into the body mechanism—squeezing the sides together performs both actions, a system labeled Repitomatic. The shutter release is a recessed orange disc with minimal travel, requiring 300 grams of pressure. The camera is available in multiple colors and features a top-mounted flash socket. When the Agfamatic Pocket Lux flash is attached, the film door becomes jammed and cannot be opened.
Context
The Agfa Mini corresponds exactly to the Agfamatic Pocket 508 Sensor and was positioned as one of the most basic 110 cameras in Agfa’s lineup. It was part of a broader revival of Agfa’s consumer camera range in 1982.
