The Thorens TD 147 is a turntable manufactured in Germany between 1982 and 1985. It was part of Thorens' lineup during the early to late 1980s, with a special Jubilee Edition released in 1983 to mark the company's 100th anniversary. That version was produced for one year only. The turntable features a 2-speed belt drive system powered by a low-voltage 16-pole synchronous motor with a slip clutch and uses a sprung suspension design for vibration isolation. It came equipped with the Thorens TP-16 MKIII tonearm, which has an effective mass of 7.5 grams and includes a removable arm wand.
