Design

The RS-B755 uses a direct-drive transport with a digitally servo-controlled DD motor and a zinc die-cast flywheel for stable rotation. It features a TNRC (Technics Non-Resonance Compound) chassis to minimize vibration and a Permalloy record/playback head with PC-OCC (Pure Copper-Ohno Continuous Casting) winding. The recording amplifier employs linear magnetic field Class AA circuitry, and the deck includes Dolby HX Pro headroom extension, Dolby B and C noise reduction, and a cassette half-power assist loading mechanism with a stabilizer. The unit also has an MPX filter, auto recording mute, and a recording calibrator with independent left/right channel adjustment.
