Design
The A-701XG uses a BI-MOS drive amplifier with both MOS FET and bipolar transistors in the output stage, delivering high current and low distortion. It features an 18-bit D/A converter with independent left and right real 18-bit converters, shielded in a pure copper case. The digital section includes an 8x oversampling filter, 2 PLL digital interface demodulation, and an auto digital OFF circuit to reduce noise. The power transformer has separated secondary windings for different circuit blocks, and the unit employs block separation construction with the input, voltage amplification, and power amplification sections isolated by heat sinks. It includes a source direct switch, a laser transformer, and high-speed rectifier diodes. The audio path uses a die-cast detent volume control, gold-plated jacks, large speaker terminals, and an AC cord with polarity display. Digital inputs include three coaxial and two optical routes, with coaxial automatic switching and a digital lock indicator for 32/44.1/48kHz sampling rates. Video I/O is provided on three routes.
