Bang & Olufsen Beocord 8000 (1980)
A high-end cassette deck launched in 1980 as part of B&O's premium 8000 series.
Overview
The Bang & Olufsen Beocord 8000 is a cassette deck released in 1980 as part of a complete high-fidelity system that included the 8000 receiver, 8000 turntable, and 8000 cassette deck. Marketed as an "exquisite high end cassette 'super deck'", it was positioned at the top of the audio market, with an original price of £483—twice the cost of a Linn LP12 turntable at the time. Despite its elite status upon release, it is now surprisingly affordable on the secondhand market. One owner notes, "Here is one you don't see that often."

A belt replacement kit with two belts is available for servicing, and original service manuals and paperwork can still be purchased.
