Altec Lansing Model 510
A tall, sealed-cabinet, three-way speaker system with dual carbon fiber woofers and titanium-coated polyimide domes
Overview
The Altec Lansing Model 510 is a floor-standing loudspeaker system built around a 3-way, 4-speaker configuration in a hermetically sealed enclosure. Standing over a meter tall, it's designed for high-power audio applications with a rated input of 150W and a maximum input of 300W. The system uses two large 25 cm carbon fiber cone woofers to enhance low-frequency reproduction, paired with a 5 cm dome midrange and a 2.5 cm dome tweeter. Finished in walnut natural wood, it weighs nearly 40 kg and supports bi-wiring or tri-wiring via gold-plated connectors.
