Accuphase P-300L (1984)
High-power stereo amplifier with balanced inputs and bridgeable mono operation, released in June 1984.
Overview
The Accuphase P-300L is a stereo power amplifier released in June 1984 as the fourth generation of the P-300 series, based on the P-300X. It delivers 250W per channel into 4Ω with a total harmonic distortion of just 0.01% across all stereo loads. Designed for high stability, it supports low impedance loads down to 2Ω and features a non-switching distortion design, DC servo system, and direct signal input coupling.

Design
The P-300L uses a direct-coupled input stage with a cascode bootstrap push-pull input circuit and DC servo control. The pre-drive stage operates in Class A using cascode push-pull topology, while the driver stage uses Power MOS FETs in a cascode push-pull configuration. The output stage employs a 5-parallel configuration with ten 100W transistors, achieving an equivalent collector loss capacity of 1000W. A large aluminum heat sink ensures thermal stability. The amplifier features a non-switching distortion design, balanced 600Ω XLR inputs, subsonic filter (10Hz, -18dB/oct), logarithmic peak-hold output meters, and front-panel I/O on a sub-panel. It supports bridge-mono operation and is compatible with 2Ω loads.
Market
The P-300L originally sold for ¥330,000. A matching rosewood cabinet (Model A-8) was available separately for ¥16,000. Recent eBay listings show pre-owned units priced between $1,450 and $2,150, with some serviced units reaching $1,800. A used P-300L paired with a C-200L preamp was listed for €2,600 on Kleinanzeigen in January 2026.
