Accuphase C-2810 (2006)
Precision preamplifier released in June 2006 with fully mono-construction and AAVA volume control.
Overview
The Accuphase C-2810 is a high-end stereo preamplifier manufactured by Accuphase Laboratory Inc. and released in June 2006. Marketed as the "Precision Preamplifier C-2810," it features fully mono-construction with separate power transformers and circuitry for left and right channels. It includes an EXT PRE function for use with an external preamplifier, allows phase settings to be stored for all inputs, and supports recording and playback between two recorders with mutual copying capability. The unit has a built-in high-quality headphone amplifier and comes with a wireless remote control for volume and input selection. A dedicated phono equalizer unit, the AD-2800, is available as a separately sold option and connects via a DIN standard connector.

Design
The C-2810 uses AAVA (Accuphase Analog Vari-gain Amplifier) volume control, consisting of 16 weighted V-I conversion amplifiers and a current switch, enabling 65,536 precise volume steps via CPU-controlled electronic switching. The circuitry is fully mono-construction, with independent R-toroidal transformers on left and right sides, each encased in a three-layer structure with glass fiber core, strong resin, and epoxy filler. Signal path integrity is maintained through logic relay input/output switching and Teflon substrate PCBs with gold-plated copper foil. The dedicated phono stage option, AD-2800, uses the same Teflon-based board and is housed in an aluminum case. Internal assemblies include Balance Input Amp, Recording Amp, VI(2), VI(4), Filter Amp, Mother Board, IO Relay, Daughter Board, Connector Board, Volume, Power Switch, and Input Selector units. Key components include transistors 2SC3902-S/T and 2SA1507-S/T, IC UPC4570G2, and precision capacitors and resistors across polypropylene, PPS, ceramic, and electrolytic types.
Market
